Proudly We Served: The Men of USS Mason (1996)

Documentary narrated by Ossie Davis telling the story of American Navy warship the USS Mason and it's African-American crew. Giving an insight into the obstacles African-Americans faced in the US military during the Second World War, the film uses archive footage and the personal stories of crew members themselves to bring their experience of the war to attention.
