Thomas Quasthoff is one of the most important and versatile singers of our time. After his retirement from the career as classical singer in 2012, he works as a teacher on universities and as a jazz singer. Together with Zubin Mehta, who has an excellent international reputation as conductor of the best orchestras, he brought Gustav Mahler's ,,Kindertotenlieder“ on the stage of Semperoper Dresden. The concert took place during the Mahler celebrations due to the composers 150th birthday in 2010. With this intimate interpretation they create a moving atmosphere.
