While doing research for an art project in 2012, sound alchemist Raz Mesinai, co-producer Jonathan Uliel Saldhana, camera man José Roseira and percussionist Gustavo Costa, descend far below the earth's surface into one of the oldest, and darkest secret mines beneath Europe, equipped with sound recording devices, loud speakers and cameras to document their findings. However, they soon find themselves trapped with no way out. By using sound as a road map, they travel through the tunnels in search of an exit, but instead, find evidence of an underground civilization, encounter a mysterious fungus with hallucinogenic properties and attempt to find the source of haunting paranormal sounds resonating from deep within the earth. In this film debut by composer, visual artist and sound alchemist Raz Mesinai, we are trusted into a visual and auditory world that blurs the line between fiction and reality, or what Mesinai calls Dub Fiction. - Directors:
