Matt Hayes is widely regarded as one of the best all-round anglers in Britain and Mick Brown is known to be a predatory angler with an excekent knowledge of UK fishing sites. Join them both on this, their latest challenge, as they travel across England and Wales to bag some truly monster fish. Their aim is to break as many of their personal bests as possible, catching some of the biggest fish of their careers. Meeting some of the current record holders along the way, Matt and Mick learn more about the fish they are hoping to catch and when and how each record was achieved. In this volume Matt and Mick go carp fishing in Acton Burnell, Shropshire, where they catch a common carp weighing 20lb. Nowhere near the British record of 60lb, but a big one all the same. On to Dorset, and at Avington Trooop Fishery after a disappointing start, the boys each get a personal best, Matt bagging a barbel and Mick a chub. At Avington Trout Fishery, they use a selection of different flies and are rewarded by catching numerous big trout. But did they get the rainbow they were after?
