- Synopsis:
- In a small Texas town, an innocent orphan boy, Francis (Glen Powell), is hoping to find a place to call home. Maddie Blanton (Breann Johnson) kindly welcomes her new charge, but her husband, Carl (Luke Perry) and his mother (Frances Fisher), are suspicious of the boy. As Francis is becoming a man, and fueled by accusations from Carl's mistress, Vera (Joelle Carter), he is forced to leave the farm and finds employment with Jim Verret (Bill Paxton). Unsettling events draw him back to Blantons, where courageously he embraces his new life.
