- David returns to his hometown, haunted by the fact that his mother died while giving birth. Upon arrival, he is confronted by the harsh reality of his father's suicide. When Zeek, the town coroner, begins to suspect that it was not just suicide, David becomes a prime suspect. Jason, the town sheriff, tries to send David packing. When David decides to stay in town to romance Jason's sister, Iris, further tension begins to build.As Iris gets closer to David, she reveals her darkest secrets. Zeek then finds a submerged car in a swamp with a body in the boot. Everything will make sense when the evil in Reeseville bubbles up to the surface...
