- Nicky Wells (Donna Mills) is a hard-hitting TV news reporter with a taste for danger. But, behind her steely professionalism hides a terrible heartache — her husband-to-be, a dashing English aristocrat, disappeared on their wedding day, apparently committing suicide. Just as Nicky is coming to terms with the tragedy and learning to love again, she uncovers a shocking secret — her former fiance is not only alive, but up to his neck in a murderous international terrorist ring.
