No photographer offers us a more extensive, exciting and stirring record of the social and cultural life at the Côte D'Azur in the 1950's than Irishman Edward Quinn (1920 -1997). He worked on the French Riviera for more than a decade and captured on camera the leading talent of the day from film, society and art including Alfred Hitchcock, Cary Grant, Sophia Loren, Brigitte Bardot, Grace Kelly and Pablo Picasso. 'Riviera Cocktail' brings together Quinn's extensive archive, lovingly curated by his widow, documentary footage of the man himself talking about the stars, a specially commissioned jazz soundtrack and hundreds of photographs that reveal a different age when society and the people who captured it interacted.
