The Nasa are an indigenous people of Colombia who have often found themselves caught in the middle of the frequent violent clashes between the military leadership and revolutionary factions. While the Nasa have chosen not to side with the rebels, their firmly held position that the Colombian government should return their native land has prevented the government from forming an alliance with them. Lucho Acosta is the outspoken leader of the Nasa community, and in a nation where violence has informed the political dialogue for decades, he's taken the truly revolutionary stance of speaking out for pacifism on behalf of his people, believing the armed clashes between revolutionaries and the state have brought forth blood but no positive change. But for Acosta, peace does not mean quiet, and the articulate leader has mounted a campaign to bring economic justice to his people. 'Stolen Land' is a documentary from filmmakers Margarita Martinez and Miguel Salazar which examines Acosta and the Nasa's brave effort to make a better Colombia despite the efforts of their opponents.
