The first series of BBC Television's 'Rockface' is like Casualty in the Scottish mountains. It follows the mountain rescue team of fictitious Highlands town Glentannoch, a group of volunteers lead by Gordon Urquhart who have ordinary jobs, such as teaching and shopkeeping, but are willing to drop everything and risk their own lives to save climbers in peril on the mountains. The series follows the daily machinations of the everyday lives of these men and women always on-call including the Richard Graham, Zoe Eeles and Jamie Sives. It's the tense life or death dramas on the rockface that bring out the worst and best of these brave, selfless people - teamwork, courage and friendship - these universal themes make this drama series very compelling.
