This absorbing children's television drama follows four friends – Flavia, Nubia, Jonathan and Lupus – as they struggle to live through one of history's most turbulent times. With many comparisons to the lives of youngsters today, they deal with issues of prejudice, violence and the environment, wrapped up in riveting stories of mystery and suspense. For differing reasons, each of the lead children is seen by Roman society as a misfit, an outsider, which helps strengthen the bond between them.
