- Synopsis:
- Rumpole of the Bailey is a British drama series created by writer and former barrister John Mortimer. The series follows Horace Rumpole (Leo McKern), a quite elderly barrister who will take on any case great or small for any person, good or bad. He upholds the law while living a quiet country life with his wife Hilda who he likes to refer to as She who must be obeyed. The series follows him as he works his cases but always runs into problems in his personal life due to his curmudgeonly nature.
