- Reymund (Taylor Lautner) has been caring for his ten-year-old younger brother Oliver ever since their mother (Constance Zimmer), Lola, was sent to prison six years ago. But with the news of Lola’s impending release, the brothers escape their home-town for the Californian Coast. Knowing that their mother is determined to re-build her family, Reymund decides the only chance for true happiness is to race away from a past they never wanted, and to offer his brother the childhood he never had.

Gave up due to awful soundtrack - Run the Tide review by IW
Couldn't watch this without subtitles - the casual spoken word, often quiet, the whole audio experience mean't we gave up watching this film.
