- Each year a group of heroic amateur cyclists known as the Fireflies complete an epic and grueling eight-day 1000km bike ride in the French alps to raise money for leukaemia research, adopting the motto "for those who suffer we ride". The route follows many of the same epic alpine ascents as LeTour de France, recognised as one of the most arduous cycle rides in the world. This emotional road movie is not simply a documentary about bicycles and mountains but one of human struggle explored through cinematic landscapes, personal peril and mental will.
