"Sanak" is the story of a mentally unstable genius (Zaffar Minhas) and his obsession with Film super-star (Samaira Khan). Zaffar is so obsessed with Samaira that he starts killing her near and dear ones in order to get to her. Here enters ACP (Faris); he meets Samaira, provides her high-level protection, and starts an investigation. Meanwhile, Samaira faces another incident at an event, Faris protects her and while calming down her, he calls her "Sam" (Samaira's nickname which is known to only her parents and best friends) and from there she got to know that Faris is her childhood friend who adores her since school days. She rejoices and eventually falls in love with him. They start seeing each other; she starts feeling protected and happy but faces another terrible incident of her best friend's death (murdered by Zaffar) which breaks her down. Faris makes a plan of moving Samiara to another country for a while and gets the news circulated in the media so that Zaffar follows hers and gets into a trap. He joins her in New York along with his trusted junior and is supported by local authorities. Their plan went successful as Zaffar showed up and Faris shoots him while chasing him. As his body is found Samaira rejoices and celebrates with Faris. But the happiness is short-lived as Zaffar turns out to be alive, he kidnaps Samaira and takes her to a distant isolated mountainous island in Naran there, he makes her life miserable. Samaira tries every trick to get out of that hell. But ultimately, everything falls apart. Samaira tries to reform Zaffar by telling him that he should face his problems rather than inflicting the same physical and mental pain (that he went through in his childhood) on other people. But Zaffar refuses to listen and amend his ways. She keeps on trying to contact Faris (who was devastated and keeps on searching for her madly), and plans to run away but fails every time. One day while Zaffar was going to the city for getting some things she gets a chance of coming out and writes "Help" on the speed boat. Her plan succeeds as Faris and his subordinates see it and start chasing him. Zaffar saw the word "Help" and gets enraged and shoots down everyone; including Faris. In the climax, he tries to kill Samaira as he believes that she betrayed him by contacting Faris. Samaira tries to run away but Zaffar catches her and when he is about to hit her, Faris (who survived the incident) jumps on him and saves Samaira. Both men fight hard and Faris gets stabbed by Zaffar; while seeing Faris in this condition Samaira gets enraged and kills Zaffar by hitting him with an axe in self-defense. As she and Faris return to Lahore, she writes a self-help Film and dedicates it to people like Zaffar and eventually settles down happily with Faris. - Actors:
