It was another night to remember under the floodlights of Molineux as Wolves upset the form books to defeat the Devils, the first time they had suffered defeat in what many people were predicting would be an invincible season for Manchester United. Wolves were coming into the game on a run of good performances, but poor results in comparison to a United team who were riding high at top of the division and within five minutes of the match starting the writing was on the wall as Nani put the visitors ahead. But the Wolves team backed by the vociferous crowd support wouldn't just role over like so many teams this season against United; they played like men possessed full of spirit and endevour and would soon get the reward their play had warranted when they equalised from an unlikely source, George Elokobi. And the team wouldn't stop there, continuing to press the league leaders and just before half time they sent the Molineux crowd into hysteria when Kevin Doyle put them into the lead. Molineux was rocking and the electric atmosphere would continue to the final whistle as Wolves celebrated another famous victory against the Red Devils.
