Franz Schubert's late song cycle, Winterreise, became one of Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau's calling cards and probably the repertoire that made the baritone's "international name". To mark Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau's 80th birthday this year, we now present a recording of Winterreise made in January 1979 to complement Schubert's Die Schone Mullerin.
