- Selma (Ester Vuori) learns that her family will be evicted from their house. Heartbroken she flees out into the winter night. She takes protection against the snow storm in a gigantic building that proves to be the Academy of Science. There Ephraim von Trippelhatt (Johan Ulveson) presents his latest studies. Trippelhatt has discovered that Santa Claus is not only a mythological being, but real.
