"Sentiment" is Tomaš Hejtmanek's intimate documentary portrait of filmmaker František Vlacil, inspired by encounters with the great director and told through taped interviews, reconstructions of meetings with Vlacil, visits to film locations and VIacil inspired sequences. Hejtmanek had met Vlacil with a view to making a biographical documentary, but VIacil sadly died before filming could begin. Left with hours of taped interviews with the director, Hejtmanek was faced with the choice of either abandoning the project or improvising with the material ho had. The result is one of the most unique and personal portraits of any artist - a collage of sounds, voices, soundtrack and images that evoke VIacil's life and work. - Actors:
