- Synopsis:
- This is a story about catholicity and love. A remarried couple, with their respective daughter Xiao Qin (Yun Li) and Tao Lan (Lin Liu), live together. Tao Lan kills Xiao Qin unintentionally due to a misunderstanding and is put into prison. 17 years later, Tao Lan is allowed to go home for the Spring Festival but nobody meets her in the bus stop. Chen Jie (Bingbing Li), the young female ward helps Tao Lan to her new home. Tao's father is rather surprised as the mother doesn't give him the notice from the jail ahead. Tao Lan knees down before her father feeling sorry for having killed his daughter. The father at first doesn't want to see her but finally accept her.
