- Synopsis:
- Melissa and Yul, Americans honeymooning in China, are taken by their driver Ping to the rural Chinese countryside to visit with Yul's family, but he makes a wrong turn and winds up in an apparently deserted village in the middle of the night. Stepping out to ask for directions, Ping never returns. When night falls they soon realize they have been plunged into an ancient custom they cannot comprehend and the couple must find a way to survive the night of the Seventh Moon when the ghostly pale spirits of the dead are demanding their yearly offerings. As they try to escape, an accident leaves them on foot, and in the path of an unrelenting evil.
