Sultry icon, Reiko Ike plays Ocho Inoshika, a gambler and pickpocket operating out of the Tokyo in the early 1920s. At a young age, Ocho witnessed the brutal murder of her father, killed by the local Yakuza. Now grown up she deftly makes her living on the streets with a few kindred spirits, taking advantage of anyone she can. When Ocho visits a gambling parlour she witnesses the attempt on a man's life by a young anarchist, a few men are killed in the ensuing fray. Ocho holds a man in her arms as he dies and his last request is that she find his sister, Yuki, to buy her out of a life of prostitution. Ocho already seeking revenge for her father's death, agrees to the dying man's request, it's not too long before she tracks Yuki down. Ocho offers to buy her back from the brother owner, but he instead opts to have her risk her own virtue in a game of change against another female gambler named Christina (played by Christina Lindberg). Ocho agrees to the challenge and wins Yuki back, but not before the man forces himself on her.Christina is not only a female gambler but also a foreign agent sent to help stop the anarchists from disrupting local government. She and Ocho strike up a begrudging respect for one another. We soon learn that there’s a connection between the two of them, the anarchist, and the criminals who run the brothel. As the story unfolds, Ocho, relies on her wits, deadly swordplay and female sexuality to outsmart her would be assailants and extract her cold-hearted revenge in a true cinematic spectacle of sex, sword play, violence and pop art
