Synopsis:
In the twenty years following the publication of his magnum opus, the last great American writer Weldon Parish (Harvey Keitel) has isolated himself in his Italian villa and avoids all journalists and publishers since developing a writer's block. An aspiring young writer (Joshua Jackson) tracks down this literary titan to his refuge in rural Italy and learns about life and love from the irascible genius and his daughters. Perhaps Weldon's new pupil will be able teach him something about writing and finally unlock his abandoned creativity.
