Rent Shangri-La (2009 - 2009)

Shangri-La is a television series adaptation of the Japanese light novel. The series is set in the mid-21st century, where the threat of global warming has resulted in a forced reduction of CO2 emission levels. Carbon is now a popular trade, and despite an earthquake, the tax is not lifted. With Tokyo then a “jungle-polis”, Project Atlas is created in order to return Tokyo to its former glory. But the real issue is: how will they decide who gets to enter Atlas, and start a better life.
