A pretty Japanese girl marries a handsome Chinese man, Toa and their marriage is initially blissfully happy, but turns into a nightmare when Toa discovers that his wife is an ardent kung fu trainee. He disapproves of her rough fighting style with high flying kicks but she will not change to his gentler martial art. Their household is turned into a battle ground as they frequently fight to prove their superiority. Toa gains the upper hand each time and the humiliated girl returns to Japan to perfect her skills. He challenges her to return but his letter falls into the hands of an expert instructor who comes to China with seven other masters to teach Toa a lesson. One of Shaw Brothers' best choreographed kung fu films, the remarkable display of swords, drunken kung fu versus karate, Chinese boxing against Judo and ninjitsu are a feast to the eyes.
