- Sean Bean plays maverick British officer Richard Sharpe who has risen through the ranks of Wellington's army. He finds himself being promoted to Lieutenant on the battlefield after saving Sir Wellesley's life. He is soon given a dangerous, top secret mission - to command a band of war hardened riflemen behind enemy lines. Their dangerous task is to escort the beautiful guerrilla leader Teresa (Assumpta Serna) and her fighters, who are carrying a mysterious box across the country. What does the box contain and why must Sharpe and his men risk their lives to protect it?
