The people of India had by then, become immune to this brutal method of justice meted out by the Bombay police. Till date more than 820 encounters have been recorded in the files of the Bombay Police. But where and how did it all begin? Inspired by some anecdotes in S. Hussain Zaidi's best-seller 'Dongri To Dubai', 'Shootout at Wadala' chronicles the first-ever recorded encounter by the Bombay Police.
