- Synopsis:
- Silk is a British drama series about a group of barristers and their dreams of becoming a member of the Queen’s Counsel and how they will do anything to achieve it. The series follows Martha Costello (Maxine Peake) and her drive to achieve her goal before anyone else and the way her life is complicated by this ambitious goal. Martha and her fellow barristers work hard but also leave time for other less beneficial pursuits as they help as well as use each other to get what they want as they try to do their jobs and prosecute criminals to achieve the position of Queen’s Counsel.
