It's 1979 and the Skins are on the rise. 17 year old Frankie Epstein, the son of a Jewish holocaust survivor, seeks refuge from a difficult home life with best friend, Jeffrey. Together, they share joints and dance to the best "Skin" sounds around, Frankie even agrees to have his head shaved by Jeffrey's Afro-Caribbean mother. Now he is really part of something. But Frankie's new identity comes with a price. Increasingly cut off from his family, an uncontrollable anger starts to well up inside. So when a gang of Neo-Nazi 'skins' turn up, they pick up on Frankie's hurt and nurture it into hate.
