Maybe 'Petites Coupures' loses something in translation, perhaps it's just cultural differences, but to be honest I just didn't get it. The plot revolves around a middle aged man who within the space of two days, splits up with his teenage mistress, is left by his wife, attempts to seduce an unstable woman who is having an affair with her own father, and when rejected by her then goes on to seduce the wife of another man. It all seemed a bit pointless, dull, incredibly clichéd, full of pretentious dialogue and smothered in an over the top orchestral soundtrack. Not something I wouldn't be in a hurry to watch again.
Not a film I can imagine the lead actors can have been proud to have featured in. Main problem was plotlines - very unconvincing in my opinion.
