- Synopsis:
"Small Time Obsession" is the story of a group of first-generation British born Polish friends torn apart by love, crime and money. Chris (Jason Merrells) seems like a harmless South London wide-boy but he's got big dreams. Pleading childhood ties and loyalties, he forces his close-knit circle of friends into an increasingly hazardous life of crime but Michael (Alex King) has other ideas. He's had enough of Chris and his petty criminal activities and wants out. His big dream is to race greyhounds but he also has a longstanding infatuation with Chris' girlfriend, Ali. When a job for wannabe hard man Geordie goes disastrously wrong, Michael's headstrong behaviour alienates his friends and Geordie's gangster boss, putting both his and Chris' lives in danger. As arrogance, ambition and jealousy take hold, it seems that Michael's life is going off the rails and he's taking his friends with him. - Actors:
