- Synopsis:
- Spartacus is a historical drama starring Liam McIntyre as Spartacus, a Thracian Gladiator who becomes the leader of a slave uprising against the Roman Republic. Nearly a year after the rebellion has started, with thousands of slaves freed, Spartacus and his followers prepare to take on the city at heart of the ruling power’s empire; Rome. In an attempt to maintain control, the Senate appoints Marcus Crassus (Simon Merrells), a wealthy politician, to led a new defensive army.
