- Synopsis:
- The poignant story of a couple who stay in India following the gaining of national independence. Tusker, a retired Colonel in the British Army and his wife Lucy choose to remain in the small hill station town of Pankot. Now, with most of their friends returned to England and the Colonel's health failing, the Tuskers face an uncertain retirement. Filmed entirely on location at Simla, in the foothills of the Himalayas, feature is a deeply moving and engrossing portrait of the end of an Empire set against a forty year love affair.
