Take your first class seat aboard the Jacobite Steam train running over Britain's most scenic railway from Fort William to Mallaig. Ben Nevis, Britain's highest mountain, provides an impressive backdrop and we actually fly to the summit. We also visit the Ben Nevis whisky distillery, the station museum at Glenfinnan and a fish processing plant in Mallaig. Celebrity Clive Anderson confesses to a wave of nostalgia as he recognises a familiar sound from his childhood - the beat of a steam engine. He chats to those on board with stories to tell. Stopping at Glenfinnan, the site of a spectacular viaduct, we see Bonnie Prince Charlie's monument and visitor centre. In fact the road to the Isles is inextricably linked with the "young pretender" and we discover much about his failed crusade. All the while we follow the progress of the steam train from the air and on board the engine itself. With the combination of glorious sunshine, the spectacular Highland scenery and the beautifully turned out train, this is a journey to enjoy over and over again!!
