Collection of 23 documentaries, animations and short films from the 20th century which illustrates the history of Britain's steel industry. A major factor in the Second Industrial Revolution, the industry employed hundreds of thousands of people and its influence can still be seen around the country today. The collection features shots of the building of the New Tyne Bridge in 1928 and the short documentary "Steel" (1945).
