Steve Hackett has been a well-known figure in the music scene since his 7-year stay in "Genesis". As guitarist, composer, arranger and songwriter, he contributed heavily to the band's international success. His first attempt as a solo artist resulted in "Voyage of the Acolyte", featuring Mike Rutherford and Phil Collins. The track "Shadow of the Hierophant" became a favourite in his live concert set. In 1978 - after he had finally decided to leave "Genesis" in the autumn of 1977 - his first solo album was released: "Please Don't Touch", which shows the first fruits of Steve's own musical soul.
On November 8 1978 Steve Hackett and his new band played a live session at the "Musikladen" studio titled "Steve Hackett - Spectral Mornings" (also the name of the album he would release in 1979). On this DVD are two bonus songs which were excluded from the broadcast (1st on Radio Bremen, 24 May 1979) of the Musikladen concert, but because of their originality are being released here for the first time ever.
