Synopsis:
Hurdy, gurdy, gurdy, in the window boxes. Aye. they've only gone and given Jack and Victor their own series, and here it is for your enjoyment. You know how they say that flittin' is one of the major causes of stress? Jack and Victor prove the point as they kick off this complete series with a bang! A rare piece of footage - Jack is lost for words, well, there is a woman involved, and what is Winston doing hanging around street corners drinking with the local needs? The old friends are preoccupied with private battles in their own lives, it becomes apparent they all have a common enemy - loneliness. The cold weather gives the boys plenty to think about.
Fun to be had with a wee side bet on who will or won't end up on their back as they negotiate the notorious icy patch outside Osprey Heights, but on a more sombre note, auld Willie has already succumbed to the freezing temperatures, Jack and Victor must avoid the same fate. Enter Winston - the Leccy King! Are Jack and Victor going to the wedding of the year or aren't they? And what's an old boy to do when he unexpectedly meets up with an old friend he's just buried? Finally, Jack and Victor and Winston's communication skills are tested to the limit, meanwhile Tam the silver tongued King of Slogans just can't stop winning competitions. Poor old Isa gets a shock just as she's about to have her afternoon 'fix' of tea and Richard Whiteley. A poignant observation of life as viewed through the eyes of our favourite pensioners. Bittersweet and hilarious, the complete first series in one convenient package. There's no question - these boys are definitely 'Still Game'.
