It's midnight on the eve of June 6, 1944. 150,000 Allied soldiers are crossing the English Channel to launch the largest sea-born invasion in history. They hope to break through the coastal defences of Hitler's "Fortress Europe" and establish a western front. If successful, Operation Overlord will change the course of World War Two. At the center of the gamble is a ten-kilometre stretch of French beach codenamed Juno. By end of day it will be the most successful landing of them all. Based on true stories and events, 'Storming Juno' is a 85-minute Canadian original film that chronicles the remarkable and determined actions of a handful of young men on that historic day. Some will defy the odds and survive to tell their stories, while others will sacrifice their lives on the sands of Juno beach. 'Storming Juno' dramatically defines the actions of these brave men who spearheaded Canada's D-Day battle and unearths the stories of real-life people - from paratroopers and infantry, to soldiers and journalists.
