Marcia, a frumpy lingerie sales girl from Buenos Aires, lives a solitary life of dreary routine after having been dumped by her boyfriend. But soon her dreams of romance are unexpectedly answered when a pair of feisty leather-jacketed, crop-haired lesbian punks, Lenine and Mao, accost her on the street. The three of them hijack a taxi and head off for the coast to visit Lenine's eccentric Aunt Blanca, who shares her house with the hapless Felipe and uptight Delia. These oddball characters develop strong bonds, but as liaisons form and break up, the dynamics of the group shift and personalities reveal themselves in varied and surprising ways.
