This Summer couldn't be more crucial for Ryan Dunne (Freddie Prinze, Jr.), a working class kid with major baseball league aspirations. Every summer the hottest college players descend upon Cape Cod to pursue their big-league dreams by day and party in town by night with the help of the local girls, including Dede Mulligan (Brittany Murphy). This time it's Ryan who's finally got a shot at earning a place in the Cape's elite league along with his best mate, the team's fun-loving catcher Billy Brubaker (Matthew Lillard). With his eyes on the prize, Ryan tries to stay focused, but with the temptation to score off the field almost as intense as the pressure to perform on it, the last thing Ryan needs is a fling with sexy rich kid Tenley Parrish (Jessica Biel). - Actors:
