For a team of scientists it seemed a fantastic challenge: to research how to manipulate the weather. But as events spiral out of control, have they only succeeded in delivering devastation and chaos? Packed full of action and breathtaking CGI, Superstorm is as compelling as it is nightmarish. American scientists have been working on means of controlling the weather for half a century. Now the ferocity of Hurricane Katrina, finally seems to have pushed the government into funding research. However, when they are asked to divert a real hurricane from the prosperous state of Florida, it becomes apparent that the project has a hidden agenda. Which hurricanes should they divert? Who decides who lives and who dies? And who will use the knowledge they have developed? The ethical questions haunt the scientists - but it appears Pandora's box has been opened. Someone has hacked into their research and has gone ahead with the project ^and made a critical error. They discovenhe hurricane has been successfully deflected, but will continue moving up the coast -to New York, where it will hit with the impact of a category five hurricane - a Superstorm.
