- Synopsis:
Suzie Gold is a twenty-something Jewish girl from North London. Her sister Sophie is about to get married, and the pressure is on for Suzie to follow suit. Her family have traditional views about marrying out of the faith, and they soon set her up with Anthony Silver - the 'perfect' Jewish candidate in their eyes. However, after a disastrous date, Suzie realizes there is no connection between them. Then, when Suzie gets a job at a TV station, she meets and falls for the gorgeous Darren, but there is one major problem. Darren isn't Jewish. She feels ashamed when she can't return the compliment and introduce him to her family. When her mother walks in and assumes he's the plumber, he realizes he can never live up to her family's expectations and ends their relationship. Will Suzie ever find the 'perfect' man, and more importantly, will her parents ever approve? - Actors:
