- Putting a fresh spin on the tale of the infamous Demon Barber of Fleet Street, this period-set psychological thriller follows the twisted journey of Sweeney Todd (Terry Bird), a successful barber, haunted by the loss of his parents at the hands of a cruel Judge (Toby Wynn-Davies). One fateful night, his path crosses with local baker, Mrs. Lovett (Jo Dyson), a woman who too has suffered a devastating miscarriage of justice by the same judge and his corrupt associates. Scheming to put a deadly end to the cycle of abuse and exploitation, Todd and Lovett make a pact, leading a macabre charge for revenge against the Victorian upper class, and all who dare stand in their way.
