- As soon as she meets William (Sam Waterston), Ann (Jenny Agutter) finds herself drawn to him. Their whirlwind romance is rapidly consummated and they decide to live together in Ann's flat. However, Ann soon discovers that William is also in a relationship with her friend Pamela... and is also married... and then she find herself pregnant.
