Sweethearts of Prison Rodeo (2009)

Filmmaker Bradley Beesley's fascinating documentary takes viewers to the 2007 Oklahoma State Penitentiary Rodeo as female prisoners join the men to ride bucking broncos and wild bulls for only the second year in the rodeo's six-decade history. Oklahoma has the highest percentage of female inmates in the country, and the women share their stories as they take a break from prison life and prepare to shine in the ring.
