Synopsis:
Tai chi expert Dr Paul Lam provides an introduction to the basics of the Chinese martial art. As well as a means of self-defence, tai chi was used in ancient China as a method of relaxation and meditation; the eight lessons in this release accommodate both the defensive and meditative elements of the discipline. Individual lessons include 'Warming Up Exercises', 'Gentle Stretching Exercises', 'Cooling Down Exercises', 'Four Qigong Exercises', 'Five Foundational Movements' and 'The Beginner's Set'.
