Filmed at London's Hammersmith Odeon in early 1982, this concert showcases the late Teddy Pendergrass at the peak of his powers only a short time before the tragic road accident in March 1982 that left him paralyzed from the waist down. The show is a classic Pendergrass blend of energetic soul floor fillers and steamy, sensuous ballads all delivered in his inimitable growling baritone. Having first come to fame with Harold Melvin and the Blue Notes in the early seventies, Pendergrass went solo in 1976 and enjoyed a string of multi-platinum albums and hit singles, many of which are included here. Teddy Pendergrass died in January 2010 but this video serves as a reminder of what a hugely talented singer and performer he was.
