Six quite distinct tribal groups have migrated and live in the mountains of Northern Thailand. They brought with them their own culture, language, and dress. This film shows the different dress of the Karen, Lisu, Akha, Yao, Lahu, Blue and White Hmong and how they adorn them with an extraordinary variety of embroidery. Their embroidery techniques include seed embroidery, braids, horizontal and vertical stitch, patchwork, batik, couched and reverse applique. The footage is spectacular and not normally seen in a documentary
