- Synopsis:
- Vietnam, 1954, at the end of the French colonial period, when the Vietminh guerrillas were about to expel the French. An infantry section occupying an outpost near the Lao border must withdraw from its positions and cross a hundred kilometers of jungle occupied by the Viet Minh. The section is commanded by Lieutenant Torrens fresh out of the academy. But he, with good judgment, decides to share his decisions of command with Sergeant Willsdorff, a veteran of the Wehrmacht of World War II.
