- In 1975, Seyolo Zantoko (Marc Zinga), a newly graduated doctor from Kinshasa, seized the opportunity of a post as a country doctor in a small French village. Arrived at Marly-Gomont, Seyolo and his family disenchanted. The inhabitants are afraid, they have never seen blacks in their lives. But Seyolo is determined to succeed his bet and will do everything possible to win the confidence of the villagers...
